Day After Day – Kristian Stanfill – CHORDS (Downloadable)

I covered this song and wrote up the chords for it the day it was released after hearing it live at Challenge 2010. (EFCA”s Youth Conference.)  I love this song – at the time it was the first recording of the song available on YouTube, since then lots of other people have done far better jobs than I have – for learning the song I really recommend Kristian playing it himself.

This my raw attempt at covering a song by Kristian Stanfill – it was released this morning and it’s been going over and over in my head all day. I first heard this song this summer – he led worship at the EFCA’s Challenge Conference. It was amazing to try and play this song and remember the thousands of teenagers together praising God’s faithfulness. I’m really hoping that we can start singing this in youth group. It’s part of his new EP – make sure to check it out on itunes! I tried doing some extra recording on top of a video – it”s quick and dirty – but i had fun 🙂

Day After Day
Kristian Stanfill

(Album Capo 2)
Verse 1
Men will try to rule the world You made
but we know power is Yours alone to give and take
A day will come when every knee will bow
and every tongue confess that you are Lord both now and forever.

Day after day our God is reigning
He’s never shaken, my hope is in the Lord
Time after time our God is faithful
trustworthy saviour, my hope is in the Lord

Verse 2
The fear of man and what they plan will fade
but we know you alone are God of every day
like the flowers man will rise and fall
but you are everlasting never ending God – eternal

Let the songs of adoration rise
our God is reigning up on high
He is worthy to receive the praise and the glory.
