I love it when Christians get together. Last Friday we had our own little see you at the pole consolation prize by getting 11 churches from Queens to Shirley, Mastic together at Dix Hills Church for a time of Challenge and Worship. I was soo excited – we had almost 200 kids and leaders getting together united by the Gospel.

Pastor Fred started off the night by leading some really funny games – we did some Minute to Win It style competitions with volunteers from all of the churches present.

We were challenged through Testimony and Rap by FOREVER. http://www.myspace.com/foreverpromo his son (the 6 year old backup dancer) really stole the show 🙂

??Todd Davidson led us in some vibrant worship. I love the energy that he brings to the room. Next time we need to get that guy a fan for the stage – they really heated it up.

Pastor Kevin Mahaffy brought the message – he challenged us on prayer. It was really cool to watch students slowly become willing to share needs with each other and realize how powerful God is.

It was a powerful night – for me though the best was the feeling that we’re all in this together – all 11 churches, the 200ish people in the room. We’re all fighting the same battle on the same team. I remain thankful for all of the youth pastors, leaders and musicians that were willing to spend a Friday night ministering to students.
