Proverbs claims that your language reflects your heart. People speaking unkindly (on the internet or elsewhere) need to fix their hearts, and not just learn how to express malice more politely.
We have limited tools to fix this. We can make social rules about hate speech but we can’t make rules about the heart. So we educate foolish people to speak using socially acceptable language but we can’t fix the heart.
But, if you want to be wise – get your heart in the right place. Don’t just learn to use wise language to coverup hatred – learn wisdom, and speak out of healthy heart. #SermonThoughts
